About the role
Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, is the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, offering comprehensive sales, parts, and service to its customers.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and assemble components.
- Clean and inspect components.
- Evaluate re-usability of component parts.
- Perform failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and machine operation.
- Write service reports once jobs are completed.
- Keep work area clean throughout the process.
- Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
- Participate in additional duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education.
- Vocation/technical school certificate, or at least 3 years of work experience in a heavy equipment shop.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters.
- General PC operation skills.

- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Organized and capable of safely working with caustic materials.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
