Component Rebuild Technician - Second Shift

About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, is the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, offering comprehensive sales, parts, and service to its customers.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble components.
• Clean and inspect components.
• Evaluate re-usability of component parts.
• Perform failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and machine operation.
• Write service reports once jobs are completed.
• Keep work area clean throughout the process.
• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Participate in additional duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent education.
• Vocation/technical school certificate, or at least 3 years of work experience in a heavy equipment shop.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters.
• General PC operation skills.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Organized and capable of safely working with caustic materials.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
