Component Rebuild Technician

About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, offering comprehensive sales, parts, and service.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble components.
• Clean and inspect components.
• Evaluate re-usability of component parts.
• Perform failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and machine operation.
• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
• Add additional duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocation/technical certificate, or at least 3 years of prior experience in a heavy equipment shop.
• Must be able to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters.
• Skilled in basic computer applications including email and internet usage.
• The ability to communicate through email - sending & receiving notes, attachments.
