Compliance Support Analyst
About the role
We are looking for an efficient and coachable Compliance Support Analyst. This is an entry level position that will assist with basic compliance functions as instructed by the current members of the Legal department to help build and streamline processes and regulation implementation.
Responsibilities
- Create a list of annual statements and financial filings due for the calendar year based on state link and standardized checklist recommendations made by the NAICO
- Obtain active certificate of authority list for SSL and ACL
- Review list against financial data repository as stated on the NAIC website: https://content.naic.org/industry_filing_state_instructions.htm
- Produce master-list for calendar year of recorded financial filings reported as needed.
- Marketing reviews
- Form updates
- SERFF filings
- Regulation review/ follow up/ communication
- Aid with complaints
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements
- Experience - One to 3 years of similar or related experience in administration, compliance, or health insurance
- Interpersonal Skills – Personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication
Qualifications
Other Skills (helpful but not required) - Thorough knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process. Talks to others to convey information effectively. Thorough knowledge of insurance and/or financial practices, policies, procedures, operations, products, services, and regulations

Pay
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 40 hours weekly, or as otherwise arranged with the manager of the department.
