Key Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end drug and alcohol testing programs (DOT and Non-DOT)
- Cook up pre-employment, random, post-accident, return-to-duty, and reasonable suspicion testing
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., DOT/FMCSA/PHMSCA) and company policies
- Maintain and manage testing schedules, including random selection pools (if applicable)
- Oversee documentation, recordkeeping, and audit readiness for all testing activity
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding testing compliance and documentation
- Support compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and timelines
- Partner with Safety and Operations teams to ensure consistent program execution
- Afford secondary support for I-9 employment eligibility compliance processes
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; 2+ years of experience in HR compliance, safety compliance, or related field; Experience with Drug & Alcohol testing programs (DOT or regulated environment) preferred; Familiarity with I-9 compliance is a plus; Spanish speaking is a plus
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of Drug & Alcohol testing regulations and compliance requirements; Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information; Ability to manage multiple deadlines and compliance-driven processes; High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism; Strong organizational and documentation skills; Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/compliance systems
