Job Summary

The primary duty of this position is to process daily commodity requests and special orders by customers throughout the entire supply chain to maximize purchasing income. Duties include performing detailed research to ensure the correct product is placed on managed order guides.

Responsibilities

  • Process requests for products, stock requests and special orders within customer service level agreement parameters
  • Manage adherence to company compliant supplier programs
  • Liaison with category development and culinary leaders to ensure correct product is approved for managed order guides
  • Monitor status of all ticket cases through help desk and provide feedback cross-functionally in a timely manner
  • Provide support to field via company computer applications for any product requests
  • Provide feedback pertaining to suppliers to the respective assigned category managers
  • Use company customized software to add items to managed order guides
  • Identify cost savings and increased efficiencies and effectively communicate these to all stakeholders
  • Utilize software applications for purchasing activities
  • Provide sector specific expertise to ensure proper commodity selections are given
  • Work closely and supply assistance to other compliance team members
  • Review procedures, processes and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements

  • Experience in foodservice, supply chain, manufacturing and/or category development desired or other related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Excellent communications skills, both in speaking and in writing
  • High aptitude for learning software programs including Remedy, and MS Office programs
  • Good judgment, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize cases by urgency
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
