Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine compliance audits of collection activities, accounts, and internal processes.
- Monitor adherence to company policies and applicable federal, state, and client regulations.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to management.
- Review documentation, communications, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with internal and external audits, client reviews, and regulatory examinations.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, audit findings, and reporting documentation.
- Work with management to implement process improvements and corrective action plans.
- Stay current on changes to applicable laws and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a compliance, audit, or quality assurance role.
- Prior experience in a collections agency, collections law firm, or accounts receivable management environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable collection laws and regulations, including the FDCPA and other consumer protection requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate findings effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn compliance.
Pay
$85,000 - $100,000/year
