About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, oversees the implementation of support and compliance monitoring protocols for state and federal legal guidance, rules, and law requirements as applicable to English learners and immigrant students. Provides services for the fiscal and programmatic grant review, implementation, and monitoring of one or more state or federal funded education programs. Conducts onsite monitoring visits of school districts to assure compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulatory provisions. Produces complete monitoring reports and drafts business correspondence, papers, research, and data collection documents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct the implementation of support and compliance monitoring protocols for state and federal legal guidance, rules, and law requirements as applicable to English learners and immigrant students.
  • Develop clear communication tools (e.g., infographics, memos, etc.) regarding support and compliance monitoring procedures.
  • Provide support and technical assistance to schools and districts in the implementation of required state and federal legal guidance, rules, and law requirements as applicable to English learners and immigrant students.
  • Work with external stakeholders (as required) to complete duties and responsibilities.
  • Develop and present data reports aligned with English learner and immigrant data as requested.
  • Review and approve grant applications, plans, program delivery reports, amendments, and/or other reports or evaluations submitted by districts.
  • Assist in implementing one or more federal or state funded programs to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Assure school and district compliance with all programmatic and fiscal regulations as related to laws and grants including, but not limited to, Title III and EL-EBF.
  • Provide technical assistance to the field, consistent with best practices and in alignment with all rules, regulations, and laws as applicable to English learners.
  • Assist district staff in the implementation of their programs consistent with best practices and legal provisions.
  • Participate in department, center, and agency cross-functional teams as designated by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant professional experience. (Copy of transcripts required at time of application)
  • Two years of experience (in addition to education requirements) working in education, preferably in schools, local education agencies, or state education agencies.
  • Experience with English learners, bilingual programs, dual language programs, and/or linguistics.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of law or grants.
  • Proficient in a language other than standard English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree. (Copy of transcripts required at time of application)
  • Experience as an educator or administrator.
  • Experience leading professional development.
  • Experience with budgets and/or grants.
  • Knowledge about strategic planning, research methodologies, organizational development and/or adult/student learning.
  • Familiarity with grant procedures (e.g., application, implementation, monitoring, technical assistance).
  • Knowledge in conducting research and/or data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Title III of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and other federal and state legislation impacting culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Pay

Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $64,322 - $81,284
Full Salary Range: $64,322 - $109,467

Schedule

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
