Compliance Manager, Americas
About the role
The Compliance Manager, Americas serves as a key regional leader responsible for driving the effectiveness of Amer Sports' global Compliance & Ethics program across North, Central, and South America. This hybrid role is grounded in policy governance, training and communications, data-driven program monitoring, regulatory intelligence, and cross-functional partnership to embed compliance into the way we do business.
Responsibilities
Policy Governance & Management - Maintain the company's policy framework, including drafting, refreshing, and harmonizing compliance-related policies and standards. Serve as manager of the Policy on Policies and ensure consistent governance practices across the organization. Lead periodic updates and global alignment of the Code of Conduct and other compliance-owned policies. Drive accessibility, readability, and consistency across all key guidance documents.
Training & Communications - Program Design, tailor, and deploy compliance and ethics communications and training for both organization-wide and role-specific needs across the Americas. Develop bilingual (English/Spanish) training materials and communications that resonate with diverse employee groups. Build role-based curricula using tiered or adaptive approaches to reduce employee burden and reinforce risk-based learning. Experiment with new training delivery formats including workshops, employee focus groups, and innovative communication channels. Partner with HR and Talent teams to integrate compliance training into onboarding, leadership development, and other programs.
Conflict of Interest Program Management - Own and administer the company's conflict of interest (COI) program, including annual disclosure processes, ongoing monitoring, and case resolution workflows. Review and adjudicate COI disclosures in partnership with Legal and HR, escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately and tracking outcomes to resolution. Develop and deliver targeted training and communications to help employees identify, disclose, and manage potential conflicts, with tailored content for higher-risk roles and functions. Partner with Finance, Procurement, and HR to identify structural or transactional risks that may give rise to conflicts (e.g., vendor relationships, outside employment, personal investments) and design preventive controls accordingly. Maintain and continuously improve COI policies, intake forms, and program against industry standards and DOJ guidance on effective compliance programs, implementing enhancements on a regular review cycle.
Program Monitoring, Data & Analytics - Develop and monitor compliance KPIs/KRIs including training completion, hotline trends, retaliation risks, conflict-of-interest disclosures, and transaction monitoring. Build dashboards and analytics to support continuous monitoring and identify emerging risks or trends. Support reporting for senior leadership, audit committees, and internal stakeholders. Recommend program improvements based on data insights, benchmarks, and employee feedback.
Regulatory Intelligence & Change Management - Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments across the Americas including data protection, AI regulations, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and new disclosure requirements. Proactively monitor developments in applicable guidance (e.g., DOJ, OFAC, OECD) and make recommendations applicable to Amer Sports' compliance program strategy. Coordinate with Legal and external counsel to assess program impacts and adjust priorities accordingly. Translate regulatory changes into operational guidance, controls, and training materials for relevant business groups. Track enforcement trends to ensure a proactive compliance posture across the region.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Partnership - Work closely with business leaders, HR, Legal, IT, Finance, and Operations to embed compliance requirements into processes and systems. Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for commercial teams on Ethics & Compliance questions, with particular fluency across the Americas region. Lead or support risk assessments, control testing, and remediation planning, including third-party risk management due diligence and anti-corruption controls. Partner with Technology and Data teams to improve monitoring tools, automate workflows, and enhance program scalability.
