About the role

The Compliance Manager, Americas serves as a key regional leader responsible for driving the effectiveness of Amer Sports' global Compliance & Ethics program across North, Central, and South America. This hybrid role is grounded in policy governance, training and communications, data-driven program monitoring, regulatory intelligence, and cross-functional partnership to embed compliance into the way we do business.

Responsibilities

  • Policy Governance & Management

    • Maintain the company's policy framework, including drafting, refreshing, and harmonizing compliance-related policies and standards.
    • Serve as manager of the Policy on Policies and ensure consistent governance practices across the organization.
    • Lead periodic updates and global alignment of the Code of Conduct and other compliance-owned policies.
    • Drive accessibility, readability, and consistency across all key guidance documents.
  • Training & Communications

    • Program Design, tailor, and deploy compliance and ethics communications and training for both organization-wide and role-specific needs across the Americas.
    • Develop bilingual (English/Spanish) training materials and communications that resonate with diverse employee groups.
    • Build role-based curricula using tiered or adaptive approaches to reduce employee burden and reinforce risk-based learning.
    • Experiment with new training delivery formats including workshops, employee focus groups, and innovative communication channels.
    • Partner with HR and Talent teams to integrate compliance training into onboarding, leadership development, and other programs.
  • Conflict of Interest Program Management

    • Own and administer the company's conflict of interest (COI) program, including annual disclosure processes, ongoing monitoring, and case resolution workflows.
    • Review and adjudicate COI disclosures in partnership with Legal and HR, escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately and tracking outcomes to resolution.
    • Develop and deliver targeted training and communications to help employees identify, disclose, and manage potential conflicts, with tailored content for higher-risk roles and functions.
    • Partner with Finance, Procurement, and HR to identify structural or transactional risks that may give rise to conflicts (e.g., vendor relationships, outside employment, personal investments) and design preventive controls accordingly.
    • Maintain and continuously improve COI policies, intake forms, and program against industry standards and DOJ guidance on effective compliance programs, implementing enhancements on a regular review cycle.
  • Program Monitoring, Data & Analytics

    • Develop and monitor compliance KPIs/KRIs including training completion, hotline trends, retaliation risks, conflict-of-interest disclosures, and transaction monitoring.
    • Build dashboards and analytics to support continuous monitoring and identify emerging risks or trends.
    • Support reporting for senior leadership, audit committees, and internal stakeholders.
    • Recommend program improvements based on data insights, benchmarks, and employee feedback.
  • Regulatory Intelligence & Change Management

    • Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments across the Americas including data protection, AI regulations, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and new disclosure requirements.
    • Proactively monitor developments in applicable guidance (e.g., DOJ, OFAC, OECD) and make recommendations applicable to Amer Sports' compliance program strategy.
    • Cook up and deliver regulatory intelligence reports to senior leadership.

    • Translate regulatory changes into operational guidance, controls, and training materials for relevant business groups.
    • Track enforcement trends to ensure a proactive compliance posture across the region.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Partnership

    • Work closely with business leaders, HR, Legal, IT, Finance, and Operations to embed compliance requirements into processes and systems.
    • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for commercial teams on Ethics & Compliance questions, with particular fluency across the Americas region.
    • Lead or support risk assessments, control testing, and remediation planning, including third-party risk management due diligence and anti-corruption controls.
    • Partner with Technology and Data teams to improve monitoring tools, automate workflows, and enhance program scalability.
    • Foster a strong culture of ethics and integrity across the region through ongoing engagement, relationship-building, and a Speak Up culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Ethics and Compliance experience with in-house program management and/or management consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory expectations across the Americas
  • Proficiency with compliance technology platforms (e.g., hotline/case management systems, LMS, policy management tools, analytics dashboards)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data, assess risks, and translate insights into actionable guidance
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex compliance concepts for a wide audience
  • Ability to lead with and defend recommendations to an executive audience
  • Strong people and change management skills; self-starter with sound judgment and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Experience in multinational or highly regulated industries
  • Background in handling cross-border compliance risks or cultural change initiatives across Latin America
  • Professional certifications such as CCEP, CCEPI, or related certifications

Benefits & Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is $105,000 - $140,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, geographic location, and/or training.
