Compliance Interviewer

About the Role

Conducts structured interviews with security, privacy, and compliance officials, clinicians, and business associates to support the HIPAA Administrative Safeguards evaluation (164.308).

Responsibilities

• Interview administrators, privacy/compliance officials, and staff to determine roles and awareness of HIPAA responsibilities.
• Review complaint/grievance logs, incident records, and access audit trails as part of interview preparation.
• Document interview findings for inclusion in the HIPAA Security Rule Gap Analysis report.

Requirements

• 3+ years of compliance interviewing or healthcare compliance auditing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting interviews in clinical or public-safety environments (preferred).

Travel

Onsite travel required to County Fire and Health Care Component locations in San Bernardino, Colton, Rialto, Redlands, Fontana, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Adelanto, Barstow, Hesperia, Needles, Big Bear Lake, and Yucca Valley. Travel, lodging, and per diem are covered by the firm.
