The Compliance and Matter Mobility eDiscovery Analyst supports the OGC Compliance and Matter Mobility department by performing day-to-day technical and operational tasks associated with the transfer and management of eDiscovery matters. This position requires a foundational understanding of eDiscovery processes, strong attention to detail, and an interest in developing deeper project management and client-service skills.
Responsibilities
- Supports the transfer and management of eDiscovery matters
- Performs data analysis and quality control
- Maintains defensible documentation
- Contributes to efficient, accurate deliverables
- Frequently interfaces with attorneys, paralegals, litigation support, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Communicates clearly and professionally
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or a related technical legal operations role (law firm experience preferred)
- Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and tact
- Organization: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, follow established processes, and meet deadlines
- Service orientation: Professionalism and customer-service mindset consistent with the firm’s performance culture
- Supervision: Ability to deliver results with routine supervision and willingness to learn
Qualifications
- Education Required: Associate's Degree
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or other post-baccalaureate training/certifications Major (if applicable): Information Systems/Information Technology related subject
- Licenses and Certifications Preferred: Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and/or other eDiscovery platform certifications
- Computer/Software Knowledge Required: Relativity (review support; exposure to processing is a plus); Microsoft Office products and MS Teams; Advanced text editors (e.g., Notepad++, UltraEdit, TextPad, EM Editor); Basic familiarity with eDiscovery deliverable formats (e.g., DAT/OPT, CSV, TIFF/JPG/PDF, text/metadata conventions); Document Management Software (NetDocuments or iManage)
- Preferred: Analytics tools such as Relativity Analytics and/or Brainspace; Transcript/exhibit and key fact management tools such as CaseMap, TextMap, Case Fleet, Everchron, Opus2; Basic understanding of forensic collection concepts and defensible handling practices; Knowledge of Page Vault preferred
Work Environment
The candidate must be available on evenings, and weekends, as needed. Working indoors with limited exposure to hazards (only those that customarily come up in working in a high-rise). Indoor office work environment in a cubical or like workstation.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%.
