About the role

Katten, a global Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Charlotte office.

Responsibilities

• Experience drafting near ready-to-file documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Manage case files and tasks
• Strong research, analysis, and writing skills
• Experience with depositions and trial preparation activities (preferred)
• Desire to gain meaningful stand-up courtroom experience (preferred)
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates sound judgment
• Takes ownership of case responsibilities

Requirements

• 3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience at a nationally or regionally recognized law firm
• Admitted to the North Carolina State Bar

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience with depositions and trial preparation activities
• Preferred: Desire to gain meaningful stand-up courtroom experience

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $270,000 - $385,000. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to: relevant experience and work history, graduation and class year, and practice area of the selected candidate.
