Complex Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster

About the role

Great West, an Old Republic Company and a leader in the truck insurance industry, is seeking a Complex Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic Large Loss team. In this position, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle litigated liability, bodily injury, and property damage claims in excess of $500k. We foster a collaborative work environment, empower you to make decisions, and provide autonomy to settle your claims. This role involves handling cases that may proceed to litigation, requiring close work with legal counsel.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, litigated claims files while providing exceptional customer service.
• Travel for mediations, settlement conferences, and trials (up to 30% travel).
• Retain and direct defense counsel.
• Utilize negotiation skills to maneuver claims toward resolution.

Requirements

• Experience handling litigated commercial bodily injury claims.
• Demonstrated success in exercising independent decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation competency.
• Knowledge of evaluating injury exposures.
• Excellent organizational skills, confidence, and ability to work independently.

Location

This position can be fully remote or hybrid if you live within commuting distance of one of our offices. A robust relocation package is available for candidates open to moving to one of the following locations:
