Sunday River is seeking hardworking, reliable, and energetic individuals to join our Competition On-Hill Crew. This team builds, maintains, and tears down race and event terrain throughout the winter season. Responsibilities
- Advocate of Safety – Actively promote and model Sunday River’s safety policies.
- Commitment to Exceptional Guest Service – Provide all guests with a caring, efficient, and quality experience, fostering lifelong skiers and snowboarders.
- Support Teamwork – Work effectively with team members and managers, fulfill schedule commitments, and maintain a proactive, positive attitude.
- Pursue Professional Development – Take advantage of in-house training, seek feedback, and commit to continuous improvement.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of racecourses, freestyle venues, and terrain features.
- Assist athletes and teams with competition and event information.
- Install fencing, signage, gates, timing systems, and other on-hill infrastructure.
- Maintain course safety, surface preparation, and snow maintenance throughout events.
- Work closely with the Competition & Events Department to ensure smooth execution of competitions.
- Operate tools and equipment safely in a mountain environment.
- Provide exceptional support and a positive guest experience for athletes and spectators.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to ski or snowboard confidently on intermediate terrain.
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter weather for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
- Prior event or race crew experience is a plus but not required.
- Alpine Official Certifications are preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays during competition and event periods.
Pay
Wages range from $17 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
