Responsibilities
- Assists with annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, bonus programs, and equity processes.
- Prepares and supports recommendations for hiring offers, salary adjustments, promotions, and off cycle compensation requests.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local pay regulations and internal compensation policies.
- PARTNERS WITH HR STAKEHOLDERS, PAYROLL, FINANCE, AND EXTERNAL PLAN VENDORS TO MANAGE DAILY COMPENSATION OPERATIONS.
- Maintains compensation data accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and vendor platforms.
- Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and sustainable compensation scales.
- SUPPORTS MAINTAINING AND UPDATING COMPENSATION MODELS, SALARY STRUCTURES, AND PAY RANGES.
- RESEARCHES MARKET DATA SOURCES
- PARTICIPATES IN INDUSTRY AND REGIONAL SURVEYS
- ANALYZES, AND COMPARSES CURRENT AND NEW COMPENSATION PLANS OR PROGRAMS OFFERED BY DEMOGRAPHICALLY COMPARABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS TO ENSURE PLAN COMPETITIVENESS.
- SUPPORTS PLAN AUDITS AND MAINTAINS ACCOUNTABILITY FOR RETIREMENT PLAN COMPLIANCE ACTIVITIES.
- ASSISTS WITH ANNUAL RETIREMENT PLAN REQUIREMENTS, INCLUDING NONDISCRIMINATION TESTING AND REQUIRED FILINGS.
- SERVE AS A KEY POINT OF CONTACT FOR EMPLOYEES REGARDING RETIREMENT PLANS, OFFERING GUIDANCE ON ELIGIBILITY, CONTRIBUTIONS, DISTRIBUTIONS, AND OVERALL RETIREMENT READINESS.
- PARTNER WITH HR STAKEHOLDERS, PAYROLL, FINANCE, AND EXTERNAL PLAN VENDORS TO MANAGE DAILY, WEEKLY AND MONTHLY RETIREMENT OPERATIONS, AUDITS AND OTHER DELIVERABLES.
- KEEPS ADEPT OF RETIREMENT PLAN LEGAL REQUIREMENTS.
- ADMINISTERS EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDING MJHS PENSION (401(a)) AND RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN (403(b)) BY VERIFYING INFORMATION AND PREPARING FORMS FOR APPROVAL FOR THE PLAN ADMINISTRATOR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in compensation required. 1-2 years Retirement benefits administration experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of compensation principles, retirement plans, and related regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with retirement compliance activities, audits, and nondiscrimination testing are preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee data.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
