This role plays a critical role in designing, analyzing, and administering compensation programs that support Guardian’s talent, performance, and business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate compensation programs, including base pay and incentive plans, ensuring internal equity, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct job evaluations and market pricing using established methodologies and external survey data; provide data-driven recommendations.
- Serve as a subject-matter resource to HR partners and leaders on compensation policies, guidelines, and pay decisions.
- Solve complex compensation issues and recommend improvements by applying seasoned judgment and new perspectives.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional compensation projects impacting multiple business units.
Requirements
- Seasoned compensation professional with in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and programs.
- Comfortable working independently with broad direction, applying sound judgment to complex pay issues, and challenging the status quo to improve outcomes.
- Collaborative, able to translate data into clear insights, and viewed as a go-to resource by colleagues and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 4–6+ years of progressive experience in compensation, rewards, HR analytics, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of base pay, incentive compensation, job architecture, market pricing, and pay governance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with HR systems and compensation tools
- Ability to explain complex or sensitive compensation topics to varied audiences

$82,770.00 - $135,975.00
Schedule
Hybrid role: 3 days in the Stamford CT; Hudson Yards, NYC; Holmdel NJ or Bethlehem PA office. 2 days WFH.
