Responsibilities
- Review workers’ compensation audit materials and examine payroll-related information to confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate discrepancies in compensation, benefits, or audit records and recommend appropriate corrections.
- Analyze payroll figures to identify reporting errors, inconsistencies, or trends that may affect audit outcomes.
- Support benefits administration activities, including coordination of information tied to leave and employee coverage matters.
- Work from documented issue lists to validate problem areas and help resolve recurring errors efficiently.
- Partner with HR and related teams to ensure compensation and benefits data is maintained in alignment with policy and regulatory expectations.
- Aid with FMLA-related administrative support and benefits coordination as needed.
- Prepare clear summaries of findings, corrections, and status updates for leadership or key stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience in HR, compensation and benefits, or a closely related area.
- Hands-on experience with workers’ compensation processes, audits, or claims-related review.
- Strong ability to interpret payroll data and identify inaccuracies or unusual variances.
- Working knowledge of benefits administration, benefits analysis, and coordination practices.
- Familiarity with FMLA administration and related employee leave considerations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to investigate issues and resolve them accurately.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-friendly contract environment.
