About the role
The Business Development Sales Compensation team is responsible for the administration of the Business Development Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), within Group Benefits. Reporting to the Manager of Sales Compensation, the Compensation Analyst will join a team that handles the calculation of all incentive payments, onboarding new employees to the program, and supporting the sales team with inquiries, reporting, and tools. The team partners with various areas such as HR, Finance, and GB Operations to obtain the necessary information for the end-to-end incentive payment process.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and precisely calculate monthly and quarterly sales incentive bonuses
- Calculate Sales Recognition Conference points on a quarterly basis to determine qualification for the Conference
- Work with the Manager of Sales Compensation on quarterly earnings reporting
- Onboard new sales staff with 1:1 training on their sales incentive plan, including plan details, administration, and reporting
- Provide ongoing support in resolving calculation-related inquiries and exceptions with the sales teams
- Maintain and enhance process documentation
- Identify and participate in process improvement projects
- Develop and maintain tools that support sales staff
- Attend and present at sales staff training sessions (e.g., joining Regional team meetings, presenting to new hires at AE Academy)
- Support the planning of the Sales Recognition Conference as required
- Partner with HR and Finance on quarterly and annual reporting as requested
- Support the Manager of Sales Compensation with modeling of potential plan changes
Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent
- 3-5 years of work experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., V-lookup, pivot tables, formulas, formatting, macros)
- Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a customer focus
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Computer and tech-savvy
- Excellent communication with a professional demeanor and phone manner
- Superb response to inquiries with the ability to question items and a process improvement mindset

Pay
Salary Range: $58,000 – $93,000
