Compensation Analyst

About the role

Our client, a nonprofit organization in the Des Plaines area, is seeking an experienced Compensation Analyst to support a growing compensation function. This is a great opportunity for a compensation subject matter expert who thrives in a process-heavy environment and enjoys working with large data sets, detailed analysis, and compensation program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market data and support compensation recommendations, pay grades, and job alignment
• Review job descriptions and ensure compensation practices meet FLSA and internal equity standards
• Manage large Excel spreadsheets, reporting, and ad hoc compensation analysis
• Identify process gaps and help improve compensation workflows and timelines
• Support annual compensation planning and track compensation changes across the organization
• Present compensation insights and recommendations to leadership
• Assist with implementation of the Dayforce compensation module

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Compensation Analyst or similar compensation-focused role
• Subject matter expertise in compensation analysis, market pricing, and pay practices
• Experience with compensation compliance, including FLSA
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and work within large manual spreadsheets
• Strong project management and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience with Dayforce is preferred
