About the role
Join Visiting Angels and make a real difference in the lives of seniors throughout Havertown and neighboring Delaware County communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
- Run errands and grocery shop for clients
- Help seniors safely remain independent in their homes
- Communicate with families and our office team to ensure outstanding care
Requirements
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of caregiving experience or a similar role
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable assisting with errands such as grocery shopping and pharmacy visits
- Understand that clients are never transported in caregiver vehicles
- One of the following TB clearances:
- 2-Step PPD
- Chest X-Ray
- Quantiferon Blood Test
Qualifications
- Must be able to provide proof of vaccination
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy
- Basic computer skills (e.g., using email)
