Community Support Mentor-Day Services

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently in their community
• Work as a mentor and build relationships with individuals to assist them to connect to their community
• Support individuals with activities of daily living, such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, medication support, bill paying, and personal care support
• Develop community relationships that foster connections between the person supported and community organizations
• Make decisions and work independently

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• At least two years of experience working with persons with disabilities or in a mentor/teaching position
• Experience and understanding of community resources and methods of teaching independent living skills
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and insured vehicle available for daily use

This position requires a skilled and compassionate individual to support people with disabilities in their daily lives.
