Support Professional - Day Services

About the role

Support individuals with disabilities to enhance their independence through person-centered activities in homes, community settings, and agency programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily schedules for individuals with disabilities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Transport clients to various locations as needed
• Provide 1:1 or group training and support
• Administer medications and assist with personal care
• Ensure health and safety standards are met
• Complete training curricula and manage food service
• Set up and facilitate work activities and arts and crafts projects
• Provide computer training and support
• Assist with residential needs, including shopping, medical appointments, and medication management

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of disabilities and curriculum planning
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform quick crisis intervention
• Patience, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in social services or related fields advantageous
