About the role

The Village of Wheeling is accepting applications for the position of Community Service Officer in the Police Department. The Community Service Officer provides support to sworn personnel by responding to non-emergency calls for service, assisting the public, enforcing Village ordinances and parking regulations, handling animal-related complaints, assisting with community events and safety initiatives, and performing other duties that support the day-to-day operations of the Police Department.

Requirements

• Training or experience working with the public, preferably in a law enforcement or public safety setting
