Community Resource Specialist
Job Summary

This role blends relationship-building, resource navigation, outreach, and collaboration, making it well-suited for someone who is organized, people-oriented, and committed to expanding opportunity for the individuals and families we serve.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain current information on community-based resources, programs, services, and natural supports
- Work directly with individuals and families to identify needs, support resource navigation, and connect them with appropriate community-based services in their local cities or towns
- Partner with DDS Service Coordinators through scheduled meetings, information sharing, and individualized follow-up to support resource navigation and community connection
- Serve as a liaison between DDS, Northeast Arc, families, and community organizations to strengthen collaboration, coordination, and access to resources
- Create, update, and distribute resource materials, guides, presentations, and related communications for DDS Service Coordinators, families, community partners, and internal teams
- Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of webinars, training, and professional development opportunities focused on transition services, adult systems, and community resources
- Maintain organized tracking of resource requests, follow-up activities, and outcomes to inform service planning, reporting, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience working in the human services or disability field
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with families, service coordinators, and colleagues on a daily basis
- Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and adjust to evolving program needs
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Experience with email and digital marketing platforms, database software, and web-based graphic design or visual communication platforms preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to sit for extended periods, work on a computer, and conduct phone-based communication for the majority of the workday; infrequent light physical effort required
- Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment
