Community Resource Specialist

Responsibilities

• Help individuals access support related to Employment and career opportunities
• Connect individuals to internal programs and community resources
• Navigate referrals through our Active Referral Network
• Develop short-term plans to address urgent barriers
• Support participants through challenging situations using trauma-informed practices
• Facilitate smooth transitions to Prosperity Planners for ongoing support

Requirements

• Speaks Spanish and can confidently communicate with diverse members of our community
• Builds trust quickly and treats every individual with dignity and respect
• Remains calm and resourceful when priorities shift
• Enjoys connecting people with practical solutions
• Communicates effectively and works well with community partners
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once

Qualifications

• Associate degree in social services, workforce development, public health, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Two or more years of experience in case coordination, intake, crisis response, customer service, workforce development, or community-based services
• Knowledge of community resources and support systems preferred
• Experience working with individuals facing employment or economic barriers is highly valued
