Community Relations Specialist – Mid-level

About the role

This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension, located in Marlborough, MA. The work arrangement is hybrid, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays in Framingham and Wednesdays in Marlborough.

Responsibilities

• Update grant program trackers for the Community Relations team to monitor the statuses of grant requests and overall programs, including tracking and monitoring budgets.
• Support Community Relations grant funding requests and sponsorship requests, including vetting nonprofit organizations and conducting first-level reviews of requests.
• Support the execution of grant programs, including moving requests through the grant management system.
• Serve as a resource for database questions from external partners, including nonprofit grantees and applicants, and act as the point of contact for external troubleshooting.
• Track and monitor event sponsorships, including managing guest lists.
• Support research needs and other miscellaneous projects as assigned.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities across several teams and projects.
• Self-reliant and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously to achieve results.
• Strong teamwork skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience with database management and/or data analytics.
• Experience working in a highly collaborative setting with multiple levels of stakeholders.
• Ability to be flexible and navigate multiple processes and workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong customer relations skills.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with an emphasis on intermediate-level Excel experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the nonprofit sector.
• Experience with Blackbaud and iGAM.
• Using Power BI to pull and create reports.

Pay

$35 per hour.
