Under the leadership of the Directors of Business Development and other leadership, and in partnership with the Account Executive team, the Account Executive will serve as a subject matter expert for Rogers service lines. This role leverages knowledge and expertise from operational and clinical leadership to promote Rogers services to key stakeholders in the community through territory management, strategic planning, and relationship development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and further enduring alliances with existing and prospective referring providers.
- Identify new referral and partnership opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and advance strategic referent relationships.
- Plan and implement proactive growth tactics on a daily basis.
- Approach territory with an entrepreneurial spirit, providing industry-leading support to stakeholders.
- Engage customers to deliver an action-oriented, patient-focused sales message (customers include psychologists, therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, school counselors, and other referral sources).
- Manage a dynamic territory, including routing, goal attainment, and time allocation.
- Foster and maintain enduring alliances with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Use an empathetic and solution-focused consultative sales approach.
- Conduct daily face-to-face and virtual customer meetings, including cold calling.
- Organize and participate in activities such as Lunch & Learns, breakfasts, dinner programs, professional networking events, and other results-oriented appointments.
- Monitor expenditures and effectively utilize budget allocation.
- Assist in planning and executing continuing education events and promoting CE webinars and in-person events.
- Conduct on-site campus and program tours.
- Use phone calls, email, social media, and other communications to maintain frequent contact with referents.
- Meet activity, census, and individual objectives set by department leadership.
- Maintain knowledge of behavioral health programming, diagnoses, and trends.
- Effectively communicate the efficacy, patient types, and outcomes of all Rogers programming.
- Demonstrate local, regional, and national market knowledge.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to build and maintain expertise.
- Enter and maintain records of all referent interactions within CRM software in a timely manner.
- Complete monthly operational and other reporting requirements.
- Analyze reporting and make timely, effective decisions based on data.
- Submit expense reports (mileage, credit card, purchase requests, check requests) in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold Rogers Values: Compassion, Excellence, and Accountability.

- Comply with all system policies and procedures, including HR, infection control, employee health, and patient safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Maintain department policies and procedures, including requirements from external agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, State of Wisconsin).

- Influence departments within Rogers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, communications, psychology, social work, or a related major.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ business development and/or related experience.
- Experience with strategic planning, new business development, and negotiation.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of software programs, including Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable status under Rogers insurance policy.
- Lived experience valued.
Physical/Mental Demands
- Function with a great deal of autonomy.
- Able to travel by car and/or air, including overnight and weekend travel; approximately 80% of time is spent outside the office representing Rogers in a designated territory.
- Verbal and hearing ability required to interact with patients and employees.
- Numerical ability required to maintain records and operate a computer.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence required for effective interaction with employees and professional staff.
- Logical thinking and discretion required for decision-making in policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ability to present information engagingly and efficiently to individuals, small, and large groups.
- Ability to plan, control, and direct aspects of employee relations.
- Tact and critical thinking skills required for effective interactions.

- Physically and mentally able to perform job duties as verified by a post-employment physical exam by a licensed physician.
PRN Account Executive Additions
- Candidate must reside in Wisconsin, Illinois, or Minnesota, within 50 miles of a Rogers location and near an airport.
- Travel to any Rogers location needing support, including one-time event/conference coverage or multi-week assignments.
- Hours offered vary based on organizational needs.
- Travel assignments may require up to 90% of time worked; travel costs are covered by the organization.
