About the role
As a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Associate, you'll provide support to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) team to ensure compliance with CRA regulations and alignment with the Bank's CRA strategy, planning, and oversight program. You'll perform an array of administrative duties related to CRA reporting, tracking, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Research volunteer service opportunities and coordinate employee volunteer service hours with CRA Community Development Managers.
- Set up and promote volunteer events in coordination with Community Development Managers, Internal Communications, and business resource groups using the Bank’s internal systems.
- Assist with validating CRA qualification of volunteer activities and track employee volunteer hours.
- Process donation requests (internal or external) and work closely with CRA Community Development Managers to ensure complete documentation and approvals.
- Monitor the donations workflow on the Bank’s internal systems, ensure documentation requirements are met, and keep the donations budget current.
- Prepare periodic updates to the team on donations status and assist with external communications to grantees.
- Support the CRA Manager in identifying service hour opportunities and promote them within the bank to engage employee participation.
- Track hours, validate services, and provide reporting.
- Process and submit donation requests, working closely with the CRA Manager, accounts payable, and the marketing team to monitor the donation budget for annual CRA donations.
- Track donations through internal software and provide required reporting to management.
- Assist the team in other areas of the CRA program, including event and meeting planning and management reporting presentations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience in a Financial Institution or similar field.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
- Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of non-profit organization financial reporting and fundraising.
- Entry-level to intermediate experience with Community Reinvestment Act regulatory definitions of Community Development services, grants, and donations.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 25% travel.
