About the role
Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is seeking a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Fair Lending Analyst to work at its headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation and administration of all aspects of the Bank’s CRA Program to ensure compliance with technical and substantive provisions of CRA and Fair Lending laws and regulations.
- Oversee and verify NYS Part 76 reporting, including data collection, monitoring, and reporting processes for all finalized commercial loan applications.
- Manage, validate, and submit Community Development, HMDA, and CRA Small Business loan applications (LAR) to regulators.
- Analyze Community Development, HMDA, and CRA Small Business loan applications to create CRA performance reports for lending using CRA software.
- Use CRA software to assess Fair Lending performance, identify trends, and uncover disparities related to protected characteristics or geographic and income factors.
- Review community development loans, investments, grants, and services for CRA eligibility.
- Ensure accurate data collection and participate in data quality control for CRA reporting and examinations.
- Collaborate with business lines and operations to ensure data accuracy and documentation of CRA-eligible activities.
- Participate in CRA compliance self-evaluations and assist lines of business in monitoring CRA performance, including site closure and opening assessments.
- Organize and maintain community service events from inception to completion.
- Assist with examination preparation.
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Director of CRA and Fair Lending.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge and experience in CRA and the financial services industry is a plus.
- Understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act with experience in CRA data management or compliance is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet navigation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to track projects, requests, and reporting requirements.
- General knowledge of the banking industry and services; knowledge of residential lending is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Business acumen and commitment to profitably serving low- and moderate-income clients and neighborhoods in innovative ways.
Pay
Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure, certifications, and location.
