Community Planner

About the role

The Community Planner position at Halff offers the opportunity to join a dynamic Texas Planning Team with options to work in San Antonio, Austin, Fort Worth, or Richardson offices. The role involves supporting project teams, conducting public engagement, creating GIS maps and graphics, and preparing plan documents. Responsibilities include research and analysis, writing, communication, and public interaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in community/urban planning or a closely related field from an accredited university
• 1-4 years of experience in a planning capacity
• Strong knowledge of and experience with computer programs (GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office programs, InDesign)
• A great attitude towards teamwork, curiosity, initiative, and taking on new challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in community/urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, or a closely related field
• AICP certification
