About the role

The Community Outreach Transporter will drive the Mobile Recovery Unit RV/Box Truck to various locations within Nassau/Suffolk County. This position involves assisting with setup for outreach events and distributing educational materials.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Mobile Recovery Unit's RV/Box Truck to designated worksites and events
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, inspected, and registered
  • Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness, functional equipment, and safety
  • Complete daily documentation and safety checks
  • Communicate vehicle issues to supervisors immediately
  • Aid in setting up for outreach events and distributing educational materials
  • Facilitate data sharing and partner decision-making
  • Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) training and refresher sessions
  • Cultivate a culture of inclusion and adherence to safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current New York State Driver License
  • Clean DMV Record
