Community Outreach Navigator

About the role
The Community Outreach Navigator serves as a central support for a wide range of ages at the Avondale Resource Center. This role involves providing crisis intervention, one-on-one support, psycho-social prevention education, and trauma-informed training to staff. The Navigator assists individuals in developing and implementing their personal wellness programs through support, education, and motivation.
Responsibilities
- Provides one-on-one community-based support to a caseload of members
- Leads psycho-social prevention and wellness groups
- Assists with crisis intervention for walk-in visitors
- Administers trauma-informed training to the team at the Resource Center
- Works collaboratively with the team to support individual service plans
- Provides accurate documentation of contact with members
Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year of relevant experience
- Preferred: Personal Training Certification
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and Motor Vehicle clearance
- Ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card

Schedule
Monday–Friday, standard business hours (no evenings, weekends, or holidays).
