Community Outreach Manager Volunteer

Aeon for Ocean is a U.S.-based, volunteer-run nonprofit founded by 7-year-old Aeon in Minnesota. Our mission is to educate and inspire the younger generation to protect the world’s oceans through initiatives like the Krill2Whale program.

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Manager to join our organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating public outreach programs
• Developing and organizing educational programs and activities for volunteers and the community
• Writing and creating presentations, press action requests, newsletter articles, brochures, flyers, and other public awareness materials
• Participating in local, regional, and national organizations focused on environmental education, volunteerism, and community outreach
• Maintaining continuous lines of communication with the Executive Director
• Representing the organization externally as necessary

• Initiative and attention to detail
• Teamwork and leadership skills
• Background in environmental/watershed/ocean stewardship
• Prior experience with a non-profit organization
• Location within the 48 contiguous United States
