Community Outreach Bereavement Counselor

Responsibilities

• Develop the Faith Hospice Real Grief program and provide monthly presentations throughout the service area
• Provide face-to-face grief counseling for Community clients through individual and group support
• Assist in annual services and other special projects
• Develop relationships with community partners throughout the service area
• Complete all documentation in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work and clinical licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan
• 2-4 years of clinical counseling or social work experience, including prior experience in dealing with end-of-life, grief, and loss issues
• Top candidates will be able to multi-task, work autonomously as well as within a team setting and be well-organized
• Qualified candidates will have a positive communication style along with strong interpersonal skills
