Bereavement Counselor
Responsibilities
- Make scheduled phone calls to bereaved families and loved ones to review bereavement services while addressing their progress regarding the grieving process
- Provide face-to-face bereavement support through individual counseling as well as support groups
- Participate in special services and groups throughout the service area
- Develop and follow the bereavement plan of care in the EMR proficiently
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work and clinical licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan
- 2-4 years of clinical counseling or social work experience, including prior experience in dealing with end-of-life, grief, and loss issues
