About the role

Cohere is seeking a Community Operations Manager to join our team at Veramendi, a large-scale community in New Braunfels, TX. In this role, you will help oversee the day-to-day operations, governance, facilities, and community standards that keep Veramendi running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the efficient response to reported community concerns, including tracking issues, coordinating contractors, following up with stakeholders, and maintaining electronic documentation of relevant communication.
  • Respond to resident, commercial owner, and stakeholder inquiries and coordinate with the appropriate team members to ensure timely follow-through.
  • Maintain knowledge of community governing documents, guidelines, transfers, disclosures, and association records.
  • Support community governance activities, including Board and committee-related matters.
  • Oversee community compliance processes in accordance with established policies and guidelines, using education, communication, and relationship-building to encourage compliance.
  • Oversee the Design Review Process, including coordination of applications, communication with owners and contractors, committee meeting preparation, and follow-up on decisions.
  • Help ensure association documents, files, records, and required documentation remain accurate and organized.
  • Oversee preventative and daily maintenance of community assets, including pools, landscaping, and similar facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors and service providers while monitoring quality and follow-through.
  • Vet vendors, service providers, and contractors and support bid and selection processes.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs and prepare reports related to amenity repairs and maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and maintain an understanding of community financials and operational needs.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner across Cohere to identify best practices, improve processes, and create operational efficiencies.
  • Balance multiple projects, resident needs, administrative responsibilities, and operational priorities with strong organization and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible community association management experience and/or professional community engagement experience.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience supervising, coaching, developing, and managing employees.
  • Knowledge of facilities management for large-scale community associations, including pools, landscaping, budgeting, and community financials.
  • Experience with covenants enforcement, architectural guidelines, community governance, and vendor or contractor management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, project management, customer service, administrative, interpersonal, analytical, written, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with financial statements, budget processes, and general accounting practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn community management, work order, document management, and other operational technology platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • CAI professional certification or professional development preferred.

Pay

$65,000–$75,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Schedule

Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to support community needs, events, and meetings.
