About the role

The Community Office Manager is responsible for managing an assigned Community Office to meet the financial services needs of customers in the community. As the leader within the Community Office sales/service team, the manager will implement strategies to achieve office goals, ensure compliance with operations policies and procedures, and meet outside regulatory requirements. This role involves direct supervision of staff, independent customer interaction, and the ability to deliver solutions to customer situations while achieving personal sales and acquisition goals. The manager will also motivate, coach, and mentor Community Office personnel to meet individual and office goals.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Community Office Manager Priorities as defined in the Retail Routines.
  • Lead by example to create a consistently exceptional customer service experience and monitor deviations from that standard.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff to communicate bank products/services effectively and achieve sales goals.
  • Actively manage the internal sales experience of the Community Office, fostering motivation and a sales culture.
  • Provide timely sales information and reports.
  • Support the Group Manager, Retail Banking, in ensuring office operations comply with Bank policies and procedures (e.g., office balancing, vault cash control).
  • Establish quantitative sales objectives with Retail Regional Managers and develop individual sales plans for targeted achievement.
  • Independently solicit new business from present and prospective customers while maintaining ongoing relationships for cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services to ascertain customer needs and share this knowledge for staff development.
  • Make outside sales and customer service calls within the market area.
  • Oversee office platform operations and remedy customer situations.
  • Provide direct service for deposit, loan, trust, and other miscellaneous products and services.
  • Open and close the Community Office.
  • Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments and address specific inquiries or service problems.
  • Guarantee signatures as required.
  • Perform special projects and other assigned tasks.
  • Comply with operating policies and procedures to support regulatory adherence.
  • Organize work and activities to achieve office goals and monitor efficiency and performance.
  • Keep personnel informed of policies and procedures and encourage upward communication.
  • Administer personnel policies and procedures as needed.
  • Actively participate in the community to reflect favorably on the bank.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Specialized banking education and training.
  • Notary certification or willingness to obtain as requested.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related banking experience.

Pay

Compensation range: $83,000 - $98,000. The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
