About the Role

Via is partnering with a growing technology business to recruit an experienced Community Manager. This is a strategic, client-facing role where you'll take ownership of online communities for major brands, helping clients increase engagement, grow their communities, and demonstrate measurable business value. You'll work primarily across platforms such as Discord and Reddit, combining community strategy, client management, and data-led reporting. Rather than handling every aspect of delivery yourself, you'll coordinate with technical, creative, and moderation specialists to ensure each community delivers against the client's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall health, performance, and business value of assigned client communities
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and understand their commercial and community objectives
  • Develop community strategies aligned with engagement, growth, and wider business goals
  • Plan campaigns, AMAs, competitions, events, and other community initiatives
  • Work closely with creative, technical, and moderation specialists to deliver community activity
  • Monitor community performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement
  • Turn community and engagement data into clear, executive-level reports
  • Demonstrate the commercial impact and value of community activity to senior client stakeholders
  • Manage multiple client accounts and priorities effectively
  • Identify potential brand-safety issues and ensure activity remains appropriate for each client
  • Represent client needs and feedback internally
  • Use AI and automation tools to improve workflows and increase efficiency

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in Community Management, Client Services, Account Management, or a related client-facing role
  • Experience working with enterprise organizations or major consumer brands
  • Strong client management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience developing community strategies and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Confidence presenting results and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to turn engagement data into clear business-impact stories
  • Strong understanding of online communities and what drives engagement
  • Good judgment around brand safety and reputation
  • Experience managing multiple clients, communities, or projects simultaneously
  • Strategic mindset and ability to lead outcomes while working with specialist delivery teams
  • Proactive, self-directed approach to work
  • Availability during core US Eastern Time hours

Qualifications

  • Experience with Discord and Reddit is highly valuable, whether professionally or through hands-on involvement in online communities
  • Familiarity with tools such as Notion and Google Workspace, alongside AI platforms such as Claude or Gemini, would also be useful
  • Experience within gaming or technology would be an advantage, but strong community and enterprise client-management experience from other sectors is also relevant

Pay

£70,000–£95,000, depending on experience

Schedule

Remote, with availability during core US Eastern Time hours required

Benefits

  • Fully remote working
  • Flexible working hours
  • Five weeks' holiday
  • Private medical insurance for eligible UK and US employees
  • Home-office budget after probation

Why Apply?

  • Work with major brands and large-scale online communities
  • Strategic ownership rather than purely day-to-day moderation
  • Opportunity to work extensively across Discord and Reddit
  • Use community data to influence genuine business decisions
  • Work alongside dedicated creative, technical, and moderation specialists
  • Opportunity to use AI and automation to develop smarter community workflows

Start date: Flexible
