Community Manager

The Community Manager at The Ellery Apartments in Plantation is responsible for overseeing all operational and financial aspects of the property. Key responsibilities include:

• Anticipating and proactively reporting market changes to the Regional Manager
• Making recommendations for maximizing income and minimizing expenses
• Developing and implementing community capital improvement plans
• Negotiating contracts and acquisitions
• Managing rent expiration schedules and increasing rents

Supervisory duties involve:

• Hiring, training, and evaluating staff
• Providing clear instructions and conducting staff meetings
• Maintaining open communication with other community staff
• Assisting in the overall team effort through effective leadership

Customer service includes:

• Sponsoring and monitoring resident functions and activities
• Following up with new and current residents to maintain positive relationships
• Monitoring maintenance activities and assisting in the handling of resident service requests

Administrative tasks include:

• Preparing and submitting accurate timesheets and payroll information
• Processing and approving invoices
• Safeguarding and collecting rent and other property income
• Completing and reviewing various reports

• 2-3 years' experience as a community/property manager
• Experience with Yardi (or industry-related software)
• Detail-oriented and proven decision-making skills
