Reporting to the Workplace Experience Director / Sr Community Manager.
About the role
A client-facing role that combines your passion for service, brilliant people skills, and enthusiasm for creating a hospitality mindset culture in the workplace. The Community Manager acts as the host in the office for colleagues and guests, serving as a dedicated, trusted advisor to enhance the workplace experience. This individual anticipates needs, supports colleague requests, and ensures the workplace runs seamlessly so colleagues and guests feel welcome and can focus on their work.
Responsibilities
- Triage all work requests to respective parties and ensure timely follow-up.
- Serve as the single point of contact for any service requests, providing status updates as needed.
- Execute a monthly events program to enhance teammate engagement.
- Manage all colleague inquiries and issues tactfully and confidently.
- Conduct daily site walks to assess site and floor conditions.
- Work with Conference Solutions to ensure meeting rooms and collaboration spaces are in ‘ready-to-use’ condition when unoccupied.
- Provide support and backup for the site facilities coordinator and Conference team, including booking rooms, triaging requests, and handling conference tasks such as food deliveries and room setups.
- Ensure office, kitchenette, and pantry equipment is in good working condition.
- Liaise and collaborate with colleagues (Facilities Management, Engineering, Project Management) and vendors to support workspace functionality—"One Team" approach.
- Ensure services are delivered within SLAs and compliant with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Work with the Client on colleague engagement initiatives, including providing biweekly site tours for new hires and assisting with events as requested.
- Act as a trusted advisor for all colleagues and contractors, connecting them to site resources, services, and amenities.
- Consolidate all colleague issues and generate a monthly report.
- Monitor facilities email inbox where necessary.
- Assist with the badging process where necessary.
- Support the arrival experience of colleagues and guests.
- Be recognized as the go-to host of the office, greeting colleagues by name and building meaningful relationships.
- Share communications collaterals with the JLL team.
- Respond to all requests (verbal, email) or issues within one day of receipt, including personal follow-up to ensure resolution.
- Prioritize urgent issues and emails.
- Provide intuitive workplace delivery, anticipating colleague needs.
- Support the Employee Readiness workstream for transitions.
- Provide onboarding support and concierge services as part of the White Glove Onboarding Program.
- Join Central Team Communities of Practice as time allows.
- Administer workplace policies (clean desk, appropriate use of space, etc.).
- Additional duties as assigned by the Workplace / Facility Manager or Client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of prior experience in hospitality, tourism, events operations, property management, or a related profession.
Skills
- Confident, friendly, and engaging with a colleague-focused mentality and passion for hospitality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
- Meticulous with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook).
