About the role
We take pride in providing an exceptional living experience for our residents and are seeking a motivated maintenance professional with experience in repairs, customer service, and property upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartment homes, common areas, buildings, and grounds according to established procedures.
- Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner while regularly communicating progress with the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy in accordance with established make-ready standards.
- Inspect completed work performed by outside contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maintain the property's appearance, safety, and curb appeal.
- Assist with warranty management for the newly constructed community by identifying warrantable items, documenting issues, submitting warranty claims, coordinating with vendors, and verifying that repairs are completed to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
- Regularly inspect common areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and fully operational.
- Participate in resident events and community activities as requested by management.
- Participate in the property's rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
- An HVAC certification preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field required.
- A working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades is required.
- The ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision.
- A basic understanding of the English language and the ability to communicate effectively.
- The ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
