About The Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor at Z Modular, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant equipment while leading a team of maintenance technicians. This position requires strong technical expertise, effective leadership skills, and the ability to drive preventive maintenance initiatives that support uptime and production goals. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities, and maintain seamless operational performance. This is an on-site role located in the Phoenix, AZ area. This role is perfect for someone who excels in a hands-on manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges, and thrives when leading and developing a skilled technical team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and mentors maintenance technicians to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains plant equipment, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling machinery.
  • Develops and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Enforces safety protocols and ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Responds to equipment failures and coordinates timely emergency repairs to support production requirements.
  • Monitors spare parts inventory and coordinates procurement activities to maintain critical stock levels.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements that enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promotes a culture of safety and healthy work practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within steel manufacturing, metal processing, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of welding and fabrication processes preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and effectively communicate across multiple departments.

Pay

Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
