Community Living Manager - Full-Time

About the role

The position involves leading, supervising, and supporting a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their personal goals and live independently. The role includes managing staffing, schedules, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Leading team management
• Scheduling
• Conducting meetings
• Providing coverage as needed
• Collaborating with Human Resources on hiring and disciplinary actions
• Overseeing safety and sanitation standards
• Managing documentation
• Coordinating medical appointments and activities
• Ensuring safety protocols and emergency preparedness
• Maintaining relationships with families and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, CPR/FA, CPI certifications required
• High school diploma with 5+ years of DSP experience and supervisory background mandatory
• 4-year degree and supervisory experience preferred

Skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and work in a high‑paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology for record‑keeping

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with the capacity to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, along with standing, walking, bending, and fine motor skills. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.
