Community Living Manager

Salary Range: $39,000/Year
FLSA Status: Salary, Non-Exempt, Fluctuating
Location: Marion, Indiana
Hours: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM and flexibility to participate in a 24-hour on-call system and work non-traditional hours as needed.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Community Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential services for individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will lead a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and the promotion of independence for the individuals we support. You will be a key contributor to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, training, and performance evaluations for Direct Support Professionals, ensuring they deliver top-tier support.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to meet individual needs and operational efficiency.
- Maintain adherence to all regulatory requirements and ensure that procedures and policies are up to date and effectively implemented.
- Provide direct care as needed, including assistance with self-care activities, transportation, and behavior plan implementation.
- Oversee the operations of residential homes, manage individual cases, and respond to emergencies or crises.
- Ensure medications are administered in compliance with nursing directions.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required reports, including incident/accident reports, case notes, and program data.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate staff in a residential setting.
- Case management experience, with the ability to develop and implement Person Centered Individualized Service Plans (PCISPs).
- Organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to assess and address the immediate needs of individuals in crisis situations.
- Ability to maintain regulatory compliance and thorough documentation practices.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Preferred knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to disability services.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
