This internship offers a 6-month development program where interns engage in social media management, event planning, and online community building.

What You'll Do

• Work with your Community Manager to understand your market and prioritize messaging
• Help plan and execute events such as remarkable parties, local meet-ups, and happy hours
• Create and organize social media content aligned with regional goals and engagement strategies
• Maintain Yelp’s local online business listings via the app and website by flagging photos, identifying media alerts, and ensuring accuracy
• Support online community building by engaging with Yelpers through the app/website in various ways

What It Takes to Succeed

• Current college student, recent graduate, or someone considering a career change to community building
• Resides in Salt Lake City, UT, with reliable transportation
• Aged 21 or older
• Local expert with knowledge of trends in the area and passion for small businesses
• Experience and interest in event planning and coordination
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Experience with social media copywriting and asset coordination
• Flexible to work 10-19 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with potential for weekend work
• Able to lift up to 10 pounds without assistance

• Compensation range: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
