COMMUNITY IMPACT COORDINATOR

About the Role

The Food Bank of the Southern Tier (FBST) is seeking a Community Impact Coordinator to build and maintain strong relationships with agency and program partners, as well as community organizations throughout our service area. In this role, you will serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of partners and Community Impact programs, providing technical assistance, coordinating partner engagement, facilitating community coalitions, conducting site visits, and supporting initiatives that improve equitable access to food. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, collaborating with community organizations, and helping partners increase their impact.

What You'll Do

  • Manage relationships with an assigned portfolio of agency partners, program partners, and community organizations
  • Provide training, technical assistance, and ongoing support to partners
  • Conduct site visits and assist with program monitoring and compliance activities
  • Coordinate Community Impact programs and partner activities throughout the assigned service area
  • Facilitate county coalitions, meetings, and collaborative initiatives
  • Monitor program performance and engagement to encourage continuous improvement
  • Represent the Food Bank at community meetings, events, and partner organizations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to advance organizational goals and strategic priorities

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in human services, social work, nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is also acceptable
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in nonprofit, social service, human service, customer service, or other community-facing roles
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Experience facilitating meetings, trainings, or group discussions preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience with databases, CRM systems, Primarius, Foundant, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds preferred
  • ServSafe® certification required within 90 days of hire (training provided at the Food Bank's expense)
  • Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the Food Bank's insurance carrier

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Competitive pay: $26.00-$27.20 per hour (approximately $47,320–$49,500 annually based on a 35-hour workweek), based on experience and qualifications
  • Hybrid work environment with a minimum of two onsite days per week
  • Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
