Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Residence Life & Safety in the day-to-day management of Residence Life and Safety.
- Hours will consist mainly of weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- This position is for the academic year and candidates will be required to reapply for continued employment.
Essential Functions
- Occupy designated living quarters throughout employment.
- Create a residential community that enhances the students’ academic, developmental, and personal lives.
- Encourage student participation in residence halls and college-sponsored events, clubs, and organizations.
- Monitor and be a presence in campus buildings and grounds for unlawful or inappropriate activity.
- Enforce policies and rules of the residence halls and student code of conduct.
- Ensure the safety of students by conducting building evacuations and providing instruction.
- Unlock and secure appropriate buildings and rooms.
- Inspect buildings for illegal entry or criminal damage.
- Auxiliary with move-in and move-out of all units.
- Understand and resolve minor building issues, security alarms.
- Conduct room inspections, corrective follow-ups, and assess damage to college property.
- Annually review and provide feedback for Residence Life policies, rules, and regulations and housing contracts.
- Assist in supervising, training, and evaluating all housing resident assistants.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Residence Life & Safety.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.
Salary Range
Room and Board in lieu of payment.
Position Status
Part-time/on call.
