About the role
Meritus Health Plan is seeking a motivated and community-focused Community Health Program Coordinator to support local health initiatives and strengthen partnerships across our service area.
Responsibilities
- Support and evaluate community-based projects and identify opportunities for new partnerships.
- Aid in developing and implementing community-focused programs and health awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and deliver health education materials.
- Organize, support, and participate in community health promotion events.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree or higher required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a community-based or nonprofit organization in an administrative or clerical role.
Qualifications
- Experience in a managed care environment preferred.
- Knowledge of community-based programs within the Meritus Health Plan service area preferred.
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate community health promotion events.
- Strong administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills & Abilities
