Main Purpose of Job:
A Community Health Nurse II provides direct nursing care to patients in various community settings and local health department clinics. This classification does not involve supervising other nursing staff but may supervise support staff.
About the Role
Candidates must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing. A copy of your current license, license verification, or license number and expiration date must accompany your application.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in various community settings and local health department clinics.
- May supervise support staff.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a registered nurse for the required education.
- Candidates may substitute two years of experience as a registered nurse for the required education.
Qualifications
- Licenses, Registrations and Certifications: Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
