Community & Government Relations Liaison - Community Outreach

Responsibilities

• Supports the execution of Kettering Health’s government relations and advocacy strategy.
• Provides legislative monitoring, executive communication support, and stakeholder engagement coordination at the local and state levels.
• Facilitates, builds, and maintains relationships with key community leaders.
• Ensures Kettering Health remains informed, prepared, and professionally represented in interactions with public officials, community leaders, and key external stakeholders.
• Serves as a trusted partner to Community Partnerships & Advocacy leadership, supporting disciplined relationship management, issue tracking, and advocacy coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, public health, communications, or a related field.
• Experience of 3–5 years in government relations, public affairs, advocacy, or related roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relationship building skills.
• Political awareness.
• Organizational discipline and follow-through.
• Demonstrates nonpartisan, mission-aligned engagement consistent with Kettering Health’s values.
